Our Health and Wellness Action Campaigns, support disease prevention and early detection, and improve condition management across a total population.
Our approach is to scan member-specific data to identify members who are out of compliance with HEDIS guidelines for preventative testing, such as cancer screening.
We use information gathered from a phone-based outreach to develop a customized letter that we sent to the member. The letter is designed to motivate the member by reinforcing the importance of having the test, addressing concerns and informing the member that they will be rewarded with a gift card incentive once they take the recommended action.
Results from tracking of return-to-compliance indicate that this approach drives behavior change and has delivered significant improvement in compliance with cancer screenings.
